A great website to explore to find unique places to visit in China, is the UNESCO World Heritage Website. Another is the world-heritage-tour site with Virtual Reality tours of various World Heritage sites around the world like Mount Wuyi .
In 1999, at the 23rd session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee in Marrakesh Morocco Mount Wuyi was inscribed as a World Heritage site click the here to read the relevant section of the minutes of that meeting.
Below are the current Chinese World Heritage Sites, along with the date of their inscription. You can use this list to decide where in China you wish to explore. When you contact us please list the sites you would like to visit.
One very positive note is that NONE of the Chinese World Heritage sites are listed as endangered, please bear this in mind when you visit, come as a tourist that follows the tenet, “take nothing but pictures and memories, leave nothing but new friends and footprints”. Our tours are designed to have maximum impact on your memories and minimal impact on the sites that you visit.
